Welcome to Planet Dachshund, a world of anything and everything wiener dog!
I noticed a long time ago that doxie owners (if the term “owner” accurate — I’m pretty sure the dachshunds think they are the owners) are a little lot more crazy about the breed than people who have other types of dogs. I don’t know if it’s the way they look, their over-sized personalities, single-minded determination, or some combination thereof. But whatever it is, it obviously causes fanatical “just can’t get enough” behavior in people. I’ve also noticed that doxies are like potato chips — you can’t have just one, you’ve got to have a whole pack.
As a certifiable doxie fanatic myself (there are 4 in my pack — six if you count two German Shepherds who think they’re doxies), I found myself surfing the Internet, looking at other people’s dachshund stuff to such an extent that my husband finally said, “why don’t you stop drooling over other people’s and just put up your own website?”
So I did. And here it is.
