Welcome to Doxie Planet — It’s A Wienerful World!

Hi, I’m Terri — proud doxie devotee, serial wiener-dog collector, and the human who pays the mortgage for a household fully controlled by dachshunds.

If you’re here, chances are you already know the truth: Dachshunds don’t have owners… they have staff. And if you’ve ever tried telling a stubborn little long dog what to do, you know exactly what I mean.

I’ve been obsessed with this breed for as long as I can remember. Maybe it’s their over-inflated confidence stuffed into those tiny legs, or their “my way or the highway” attitude, or the fact that they can melt your heart and destroy your favorite sock in the same five minutes. Whatever the magic ingredient is, it hooked me hard.

At last count, I have five doxies running the place (plus two German Shepherds who are absolutely convinced they’re honorary wiener dogs). If you’ve ever lived with a dachshund, you also know that having one is impossible — they’re like potato chips. Loud, bossy potato chips with dramatic opinions.

For years I spent my nights scrolling through dachshund art, mugs, shirts, memes, and anything else even remotely shaped like a long dog. One day my husband finally said,
“If you’re going to spend this much time drooling over doxie stuff… why don’t you make your own?”

So I did.

And that’s how DoxiePlanet was born.

The name comes from something I say all the time: “It’s the dachshund’s world… we’re just living in it.”

Because honestly? It’s true. Everything in my life revolves around these little tyrants — my schedule, my carpet, my weekends, my heart. The shop is just an extension of that reality, built for people who are just as doxie-crazy as I am.

Here on DoxiePlanet, you’ll find fun, festive, carefully chosen (and often personally designed) dachshund goodies — mugs, shirts, gifts, artwork, and whatever else brings joy to long-dog lovers. This shop helps fuel my collection habit and gives me a place to share my obsession with others who get it.
