Puppies Can Take Cat Naps Too

Hercules went from 100% flying wienie to being 100% passed out in 2 seconds flat

What is it about babies that they can be at 100% energy in one moment, and sound asleep the next?

Here we were out front with Hercules having one of his “zoomy” moments – you know what I mean, flying around like a bat out of hell for no reason – when he suddenly crouched down on the grass.

I thought he was waiting for me to get close so he could leap at me, so I got close.

But he didn’t move.

I looked, and he appeared to be looking down at the grass, maybe sniffing something interesting.

I got closer and saw that his eyes were closed. I listened for a moment. His breathing was slow and even, and wasn’t moving a muscle.

He was sound asleep!

He was literally flying at full speed 5 seconds ago, and now he was out cold.

I left him to finish his cat nap, which he did about 5 minutes later. Then he was right back at it zooming about the house like the flying wienie dog he his.

Puppies…
