Doxie’s in the Snow
How can they be so happy to play in the cold then act like it's freezing when it's 95 in the shade?
I love my Dachshunds!
I love my Dachshunds! I'm a very lucky person. I have four dachshunds I get to spend all day and night with! I like to call them the “Doxie Nation.” Rommel, the very first dachshund I got, is a classic red. He just celebrated his 10th birthday with us in September. Rommel really loves to play “ball” as we call it (though most refer to it as “fetch”), he loves it so much that he will keep playing until he passes out, with the ball still in his mouth, of course! Our new friend

But don't worry, he was curled in a ball in the road and so had just went under the carriage of the car. The driver then stopped picked him up and took him to the [keep reading...]

Golden retriever-dachshund mix makes us do a double take I saw this new article and I thought you would all enjoy the photo. You've got to wonder how this happened: "You've got a lot of confidence for a dog your size. I like that," a golden retriever said flirtatiously to a dachshund. "Well, today's your lucky day, because I've got a thing for tall blondes," the dachshund replied with a roguish wink. After a few dates in the park, a coy game of tug and war, the love of a lifetime blossomed between the fetching couple, and along came this [keep reading...]
A Happy Dachshund Story
Lost Charlottesville dachshund story has happy ending There is nothing more terrifying than discovering that your dachshund has escaped and is running loose. That was the experience of a local Charlottesville family recently, when Shorty, a longhaired black and tan doxie, about a year old, got loose. The family was frantic, especially the three-year-old son, who loves his four-footed buddy. Fortunately, they thought to contact the local Craigslist, a centralized network of online communities that includes a lost and found section: charlottesville craigslist> community > lost & found Thanks to Craigslist, the story had a happy ending, with Shorty returning [keep reading...]
